Grace-4

Isa 55:11 says  So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.So what was God's purpose for sending the Word?To make us like Jesus who was the last Adam.God NEVER changed his plan for mankind on earth! In the previous lessons we saw how through knowledge of his word we get faith that will bring the process of grace about, our becoming like Him.
Mark 4 Jesus gave the parable of the sower sowing the word.Afterward when he was alone with his diciples they asked Him about the meaning of the parable. We have to pursue the things of God,they are hidden FOR us not FROM us.He explained totally the parable to them, not because they were who they were but because they ASKED.He would have done the same for any of the crowd if they had asked. He said-And he said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick?
For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad. If any man have ears to hear, let him hear. It's for any man!
There are 5 things that satan can use to get the word out- affliction, persecution, lust of other things, cares of this life and DECIETFULNESS of riches, not riches. These are the 5 reasons we are not any more like Jesus than we are.

Grace 3

God never changed his plan for mankind on planet earth.God designed man to reign on the earth.Adam failed but God didn't give up on His plan.He prepared a body for Jesus,he had to have a body,be a man cause man had the authority here.He came and did what Adam didn't do,obey God. I Cor calls Jesus the last Adam.Jesus came and paved the way for us to get back to God,thereby getting back the power that Adam had,not only the authority but the power behind it.Romans 5:17 says that by the abundance of grace we reign in life by one,Jesus.Grace, being the devine influence on the heart that is reflected in the life, will allow us to walk like Jesus did here on earth. He was the protoype of what we should be.The more knowledge we recieve of him the more faith we recieve and the more faith we recieve the more of the promises we recieve that makes us like Him.II Pet 2:4-Through faith and patience we inherit those promises.heb 6:12 We are JOINT Heirs with him.The same promises that made Him who he was, here on earth, will make us like him. They were intended for us but we didn't qualify until he came and paid the price for our sin.Now we are the sons of God and the sons of men.Now we have a mediator, the MAN Christ Jesus but he is also still the son of God.Heb 2:11 says we are all, believers and Jesus, of one for which cause he is not ashamed to call us brethern. We are instructed all through the new testament to be like him.The process of us becoming like Him is grace.

Grace 2

The way that we receive grace is through faith.  Rom. 5:2; Rom 4:16; Eph. 2;8

II Peter 1:2-4 says grace and peace is multiplied to us through knowledge.  Which is it? Faith or knowledge?  Knowledge (full discernment) brings us faith (the ability to believe).  Verse 4 says those promises will make us a partaker of the divine nature.  Whatever promise we receive through faith will make us like Jesus in that area.  If it be in the area of health, He is well.  If it's in the area of peace, He has peace.  Hebrews 6:12 says we inherit the promises through faith and patience.  Romans 8 says we are joint heirs with Jesus.

For us to inherit the promises, we have to have knowledge of those promises (the Word) so that we can receive the faith from them.  That will allow us to believe God for those promises therefore allowing God to fulfill those promises from His Word in our lives.  As we receive those promises they will make us more like Jesus.  It all happens in the heart (spirit) first.  God influences our heart and it is reflected outwardly in our lives by us becoming like Jesus.

Like I said earlier, writing is a lot different than standing and teaching.  I would probably have taken at least twenty minutes to explain what I just said, but I expect the Holy Spirit will reveal it.

Introduction

Well, this is going to be different. Those of you that have heard me teach know how I like to develop a point and thoroughly explain it. Writing this blog, probably weekly,
I will not be able to present subjects like I would be if I was speaking. So
you can just use this as a starting point to do further study on the subjects that
I cover. I'm going to start out on grace. We have all heard of grace as being
the unmerited favor of God. This definition of grace though does not fit in
all the places it is used. John 1:14 says Jesus was full of grace. My question
is, was Jesus full of the "unmerited" favor of God? Everything He got from God,
He got through the channels He was supposed to. Also, Gal. 5:4 says we can
fall from grace. So we can get bad enough to not qualify for something we didn't
deserve in the first place? The Strong's Concordance defines the Greek word
that is translated grace in the New Testament as "the divine influence on the heart
that is reflected in the life". Jesus was full of grace and He said, "If you have seen
Me, you have seen the Father".
In the next blog, we will discuss that the way we get grace is through faith.
Eph. 2:8, Rom. 5:2, and Rom. 4:16
